What weight of oil should i use

I would like to know what type/weight of oil to use in my 2000 4.3l vortec GL volvo Penta engine. ie 5w-30 10w-40 20w-50. I only run a full synthetic just need to know what type. Thanks

There are two kinds of oil.

1. Those oils recommended by the manufacturer (Volvo)

2. Those oils NOT specifically recommended by the manufacture, but recommended by some user somewhere thinking his choice is better than that of the manufacturer.

You can GO HERE and download the owners manual for your engine if you don't have one.
