Hey guys

Awhile I posted about this problem I was having. I think Iv'e found out why but what whould cause this just incase, so I don't install another gasket and it happens because of something else I'm missing. Is it just old age or has someone seen this happen because something else is messed up?

It's the cylinder head gasket.

Warped head, improper torque, no follow up torque check, overheat. And different grade head bolts.

looks like a typical blown head gasket.

Hello

Well I hope it just old age or improper torque/re torque, something stupid. Really dont want it to be a warped head/overheat. I know all the bolts are the same. The motor came of a 13ft boston whaler, a salty one at that. When I peaked in the thermostat area it was wicked so hopefully its just because of age and someone not flushing the system out like it should have running in salt and all.

I can check if the cylinder head is warped, but how can I check if the cyliner block on the engine itself isn't warped, still of the engine?

Thanks,
DamianJP

The mass of the block keeps it from warping.
