What would you do with a spare 350 engine?

Rebuilt the 350 in the van a couple years back, just bought a truck, van is ugly as sin and won't sell. Used engine, with $1,100 in it, won't even bring HALF that much on the used market. <br /><br />So, if the van doesn't sell this weekend, I'm going to yank the engine/tranny and junkyard the van.<br /><br />I can either sit it in the back corner of the garage, and hope to have something to put it in down the line, or I can do something cool.<br /><br />Thoughts:<br />Lawnmower<br />Log Splitter<br />Generator (pto generator)<br /><br />What would y'all do. <br /><br />.... OR, donate it it SBN to put on the back of his bass boat.....we'll get that puppy up to 60 no problem

get with brother cris and make you one of them rock crawlers or a rail buggy you can use the axles and trany off the van and intereior youll be done in no time.

Throw it in the shed with the rest of them till I need it or someone else needs it.Depending on the year some can get some good bucks.The rodders are always looking for 70's 350's.You might want to sell it with the trannie,put an ad when you get takers pull it ,rear end might get you a couple boxes of beer too

depending on year of van and if you own your house and have a little room.... i would part out the van on ebay and sell individual components for good $$$ !!!!!<br /><br />Keep engine, or sell that too as "local pickup only"

Pull the body off the frame and leave the motor on it. Build you a seat mount and something to hold the sterring column. Tie a string around the carb linkage and forget about the brakes. GO FOR A HECK OF A RIDE AND HOLD ON!!!!!!!!

When in high scholl me and a buddy did it. We used a datsun truck frame with a 25 horse Koehler from a rock buggy. It had a variable ratio belt drive. We had brakes on the rear at first. We built a lever off of the e-brake and it worked for a while. While uh, trying NOT to have a chat with the cop that was behind us the lever broke loose. Never did weld it back on, just built a bigger front bumper, poor trees.
