What would you suggest for cleaning white vinyl from 1996???

I know... stupid question...but I had to ask... We have a 1996 Sylvan V196 and the "white" vinyl is starting to show signs of yellowing and staining. We have been using Purple Power degreaser about 10% to 90% water for most of it and it works primarily for the day we have it out, but what can you do about black marks imbedded in the vinyl. I literally soak the vinyl in Amorall everyweekend so it doesn't dry out but some of the stains are getting worse.

I have used a light solution of bleach with Magic Eraser. If you can find the extra strength ones they work better.

I woulndt use amorall. I have always been told to use a silicone based protectant. Amorall, for some reason, acts like a a greenhouse and traps the heat in and could cause damage.

Also try a scotchbrite and mineral spirits. It worked for me on two boats.

we just used soft scrub with bleach and a stiff brissel brush and a lot of elbow grease. we were however able to take our seats, sundeck and trim out so we wouldn't get the bleach on the carpet. rinse well, wipe dry (we also let everything sit outside in the sun for 2 days before reinstalling) and use some vinyl protectant right away. Good luck.

Anyway, yes Wesley is good stuff...we used to clean the bases on the baseball fields with it too.

Maybe that was our problem ...we never cleaned ours at all and the kids use to get called for missing the bag They couldn't find it

If you do somewhat get the vinyl better clean with the majic eraser and some black streak remover ..you really need to wash off all of that UV 50 kits waterproof stuff off of the vinyl .. wash and scrub down your deck and seats when you come in from an outing .. or that sun will ( may already ) burn lotions and such into your seats.

My white seats were stained with mildew, i tried everything . The only thing that worked for me was straight bleach. Spray it on and let soak for about 30 sec and it took it all off!!
