What ya think of my new ride?

Just thought I would say hey to all of you, and let you all see my new to me ride for the summer.

She's a 1984 Larson ,17ft ,140hp Johnson.

For her age she is in excellent shape. The motor has low compression(95, 85,85,80)but starts and runs good on the hose. I am in proses of decarbing the motor and hoping it will help.

compression not that bad, but would not hurt to come up. nice ride.

The guy I bought it from said that the boat shop told him it was going to need to rebuild the motor at 2800 bucks. I think with some tlc and a tuneup it will be fine for a little wile.

Nice looking Larson. What are you planning on using the boat for? Fishing, tubing, just cruising? Looks like it would be a smooth-riding boat. Congrats on the purchase.

Nice. She's a little too new for me but still a nice ride.

I grew up using a similar boat with only an 85 and it performed adequately so your 140 should be great even if it's not quite at the top of its game.

Thanks every one. I cant wait to get her in the water. She is going to be a great addition to my family. Fishing, tubing, and just plain relaxing and havin fun on the water.
