what year and model?

Last week i bought a new prop for my motor.
I told the guy in the shop it was for a 1990 Evinrude 140 VRO.

When he saw it. he told me it was an 1989 model...
My modelnumber is BE140TLCEB and the serial number is QO2351823
My bill of sale says its from march 1990. Is my boatshop right and my b.o.s.lying, or reverse?

Another question: Is it a cross flow engine, or a looper?
