bought a 1985 crest ll pontoon has a 9.9 evinrude, i assumed also was 1985 but came with a book they have model # in book as e10ebcom, and i cannot find anything on internet of that #, any help would be great

E10EB is a 1999 9.9 hp, could you get the model number off of the engine?

its docked at the lake but this what they have wrote in book, serial num is e 0487181, where can i look this stuff up at? everywhere ask me year to look up things, and thats what im trying figure out

its a 2stroke and looks like mid 80's to me

There should be a decal or plate on the transom clamp, can't remember which side, or there should be a core plug, about the size of a quarter, on the engine block with the numbers on it.
It is important to use the model number to order parts to make sure you get the correct parts for your engine.

Most likely it is a E10ELCOM which is a 1985 9.9. The second E is for electric the L is for Long shaft the CO is for 85 and the M is the model run or suffix
