Commonly replaced parts like water pump impellers, carb kits, gaskets, etc, are available from NAPA autoparts stores out of their marine catalog, or from various retailers online. Generally speaking, they offer aftermarket parts. There are lots of them.
Your local Johnson/Evinrude dealer can also supply you with OEM parts, and lots are still available for your engine. Some anti-competition thing seems to keep them from advertising online though.

Good luck!

Hi Rob121

I own and maintain 6 of the motors in this series. They are are a bit of a challenge, which I like, but I find that they are great motors.

The link that rickdb1boat has provided has been a constant source of assistance. When they could not provide parts, Bill Kelley directed me to someone who could.

One recommendation is that you find model-specific OMC service manual and parts manual. The generic multi-year manuals will not suffice for other than the most menial maintenance in this series.

If I can be of assistance, you may contact me at . This is my hobby, not a profession.

Rob,

A factory Service Manual,Owners Manual and Parts Manual can be had at the link below. I highly recommend the Parts catalog, along with the service manual. Then you don't have to go digging for part numbers when you are trying to get a specific part. You can get all 3 for $60.00. Remember, these are all Model specific Factory publications!

web page
