HI everyone. I said I would not bother people about this question that many others have asked, but ive tried to find my engine listed somewhere on different websites and I cannot find the age of my engine anywhere. could someone help? the serial number is A169082. this number is on a metal tag just below the power head. thats all numbers I can find. I would like to be sure in case I want to order a part sometime. Thanks, Billyboy72

The only thing listed on my sheets are a 1985 300.

Sorry guys. guess i was asleep at the wheel. the Hp is 75 HP. its a 2 cycle, 4 cylinder engine with power lift.

Beginning serial numbers for the three years Mercury made that (we are talking Merc(?)) in the US

1984 - 6432901
1985 - 6613221
1986 - A197882

I would say she is a late '85.
You're not in Europe or down under ?

Thanks for the good info. Yes, it is a Merc, and I'm not from Europe or down under. Only from good ole' New Hampsha!!!!!
