What year is my Evinrude ?

Model # is CE55RSLV
i just bought a boat with this clean motor, it has good compression and fires right up.
I know its a Commercial series and it says "Super 55" on the hood but thats about it.
I would like to know the year but all my searches come up pretty lame.
This makes it hard to determine which manual to look for as i would like to maintain it well.

Thinking that you need to recheck your numbers. Look on portside or aft of engine for a freeze plug that has numbers on it. Post back.

So its a 1986 but one thing confuses me,the RS part of model # translates to " Rope Start " but mine has electric start aswell.

Is this an OMC motor ?

So does anyone know where i would start looking for a manual ? do they have manuals for the Commercial Series ?
i hope its not goin to be difficult.

look on ebay and things like that. You will be surprised how much stuff is in there. Good luck.

my model is SE65WMLA y1991 however all ID charts says that that model is made in 1990.
Now im confusing in search proper service manual. What is the primary the year of building or the model number?
Help me please
