What year is my Johnson outboard engine???

We recently acquired a Johnson outboard engine. We have inquired at some shops that told us it is older than 1922. Serial #231616 and Model #200. It is a complete engine. Built on tank. Horizontal twin cyclinders.

We were told, because no letter by the model # means it was prior to 1922???

Bear is correct, your engine model 200 is a 1936,3.3 hp in 1922-1925 they only made 2 hp
