what year is my merc?

this is a 7.5 hp with thunderbolt ignition, it has two blue lines around the head. and a #75 on the head. I would also like to know what the gas oil mixture is supposed to be.

Need the serial number to find the year. Look for it stamped on the motor bracket. Should be a 7 digit number...

1972 or 1974. Anywhoo, the mix should be 50:1, but if it where me,I would mix 40:1 due to age.

hey rick, I think it is actually 2.56oz to 1 gallon of gas.
