What year is my MonArk Pontoon Boat and Johnson outboard?

I recentlly inherited a 22 ft. MonArk Pontoon Boat (which appears to be very old) with the purchase of a house. I want to register the boat, but I can't find a Hull Number. I have wadded around the aft of the boat, and found nothing. The boat has no registration decals and appears to never have been registered. According to the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries, "All boats constructed after November 1, 1972, must have this number permanently displayed on the boat by the manufacturer before the boat can be sold. (Boats manufactured prior to this date will have a metal tag serial number.)" There is a tag near the console: Serial Number 43959 Model Number P0824. The Johnson 35 h.p. has Serial Number E5276065 Model Number J35ECSM. If I can date the engine, I might can date the boat.

I think you messed up a digit or two on your Johnson model number cuz Google gave me nothing. Got a pic of it? I'm a pretty good guesser based on appearance

Looks to be a 1980 Johnson from the "CS" in the model number.

Generally the serial number is on the front or rear brackets either inside or outside and the last 2 numbers are the year but I really doubt it is a '59, aluminum welding was still pretty high tech muilitary stuff back then so I would go with the 70s too.

Normally also the boat and engine are close to the same age btu they could have upgraded with it being that old.

There is no way to contact the person that owned the house before you?

This pontoon is 24 feet long. The beam of this craft is 96 inches.

i would guess its around a 1970 to , and that is a very well built boat lots still around and in use around here
