What year is my motor

Hi Fellas<br /><br />I've recently purchased a second hand boat with a 25hp mercury outboard, the motor has been really well looked after, the guy i bought it off says its around 1995 is this correct any info is greatly appreciated, the serial number on the motor is OC231482.<br /><br />Regards<br /><br />Eddy

If it was a 1995 motor the serial # would start with OG....
