What year is my motor???

I've cked all the old posts and gone to the sites shown but still can't seem to figure this out!!I have a 8hp ser#OB121350 longshaft.Sellar told me he thought it was a early 90's.When I look up the ser# they all start with a letter like A,B,etc.not OB ????Any help would be appreciated,Thanks Bruce.........

DUH!!!!SORRY,It's a merc,I stopped at the local merc dealer in my area,they told me it was a 94-96,according to the chart he had??I'd still like to find a web site to confirm........

If that B is a G it is indeed a 1995.<br />Just go to model guied in the top right corner and click on h/p and scroll down.<br />No OB in ther but there is OG<br /><br /> http://www.marinshopen.se/

Post a picture of the cowling. I believe it is a 1987 model.

I have an 89 that is OC so your engine is older than that....87 sounds right.
