what year is my motor ?

I am trying ti find out what year my mercury motor is. its a 9.8 hp serial # 6080998. What site can i go to find this info out. I have been checkin for 2 days now. I have a problem with the electric start too, I only hear it click. but need to know what year it is , so i can find the right info to look for my problems with that.
