Am I an idiot?!? I have a 40 HP Mercury 2 stroke.

Serial number: 0T681474

I can't find any details online regarding this motor...

Bascially - I want to know the motor year...

I'm looking for a new starter and possible a trim motor for this motor - A lot of wesites have you look for the year/make of the outboard for parts... So my problem is - i search for the year i think it is (2003) and then look for the serial number - which i can't find the serial number anywhere online...

It a 2003 and the starter OEM# is 50-893890T and the trim motor OEM is 827675A1. Just look to see which aftermarket part #'s interchange....
