What year is my sailmaster 4

I bought a Catalina 22 last week and it came with a Sailmaster 4 outboard. Model J4RLCUD and Serial # B 7376215, Can someone help me figure out the year of this motor ? The sailboat is a 1970.<br />Thanks!<br />CWA

Thanks - that's great. Was that made by Johnson? the fuel to oil mixture recomendation is 100:1 . seems to be not enough oil. I though most outboards were 50:1... I also have a 6HP 1967 Johnson OB and it uses 50:1 <br />will it be ok to use 50:1 on the sailmaster?

Some of the smaller 1985-1989 Johnson/Evinrude outboards were originally rated at 100:1 although OMC later recanted and recommended they be run @ 50:1 after all. Go with the 50:1.
