What year is my SeaHorse model HS 39.

I have a Johnson SeaHorse outboard. The model number is HS39 and the serial number is 326663. Could you please let me know the year.

Is it a 2.5 hp? Im showing a HA-39 which would be a 1939 or HD-39 which would be a 1939 as well.

Thank You for the info. Is this motor worth anything I believe it is still in the original crate wooden box and it does run. It still has the original rope and wooden pull handle.

Completely depends on condition. The "H" motors are not highly desirable, but having it with its original crate is nice. I paid $225 for a 1925 Johnson A-25 2hp in its original crate. The "A"'s are more desirable so yours may be worth less. However, price is determined by what someone is willing to pay for it.
