What year is my Yamaha 25HP Outboard?

I just picked up a 25 HP Yamaha, does any one know the year from the serial #? Here is the info from the plate.

6H7 is the prefix for the serial number, it indicates that the sequence begins in 1983, it does not indicate that the motor was built in 1983.

Can you post the model number?

Dunaruna you are correct.

The model 25SH indicates a 1987.
