I have a Johnson 65HP electric shift model # J3672600, & I'd like to get a wiring diagram for motor & electric shift.

that number doesn't match to any model #. Perhaps it is a serial number?<br />Anyway the only year an electric shift 65 was made was 1968, it was a V4. In 1972 there was a hydro-electric shift 65, a 3 cylinder. The 1973 65 used a hydro-mechanical shift.

You're right that was my serial #. Anyway I visited the websites you listed with my proper model #65ESL-72S and have determined that it is a 72 and they have a manual, which I'm ordering, any suggestions as to how to download a schematic so I can move ahead in the meantime. and I mis-spoke...it is in fact a Hydro-electric shifter. Just to warn you I'm going to have plenty of questions once I can review a schematic to determine whether or not my wiring connections are correct to the shifter, & yes I have been reading many of the previous discussions about these shifters. Thanks so far!
