what year is this motor

i just bought a 1990 bay liner with a 90 hp force motor or thats what the previos owner said but i have no way to be sure. I have never had a force before and dont know much about them. I want to order a service manual but want to be sure of what year it is the only # i could find where on the cranccase they are m342168 the motor is black and is a cfi model any help with this would be great Thanks robertslice

Look for a plate where cables and gas line goes into engine cover. Near carbs. This should have a model number for engine. Need a model number to engine to check for year.

I believe the "cfi" moniker only appeared on the 1990 model.

i found a plate it was on the carb cover uscg app no 162.42/10/0 is this it?
