i have a chrysler seaking 9.9 hp outboard motor ser.# 18x22497 and mod. # vwb52299a can any one tell me what year it is and what the fuel mixture ratio is?
It's a 1981. Normal fuel ratio is 50:1. My Dad has been an outboard mechanic sense 1948 and he told me that it's best to run a ratio of 25:1 the first 10 hours after it is brought out of storage. That will ensure a good lubrication after sitting for so long. After that run the 50:1.
