My neighbor got a motor for free.
Serial number is......15802MC587943
Anyone know what year, size etc??

Understood. I can only find one tag (on the transom clamp). All I see is a serial number. I'll try to take a pic tonight.

Google 'BRP Support' and call them during regular m-f business hours. They can tell you based on serial numbers.

Recheck the first 5 numbers on the tag. You either have an 18 horse 18802 or a 15 horse 15805 or 15804.

thank you. I wondered about that when i searched for serial numbers on evinrude's site. I found a 15805, but no 15802. I was going off the pencil note my neighbor brought over.

1968 Evinrude 15hp Worktwin, rare motor here in the States because they were manufactured for export only to England, Africa, Norway, Sweden, Middle East and South America a real work horse of a motor. Nice find.

A photos are always helpful when trying to identify a mystery outboard.

Confirmed 15802 is valid it is in the Model Number Reference Guide but doesn't come up when searching the online parts catalog.

Interesting that the foreign market Evinrude Worktwin uses the early 1960s Gale 15 cowling shape. Kept the shape, subtracted the trim bits, added Evinrude blue and decals... I get a kick out of the evolution of various motors like that.. Nice motor!
