What year Johnson Would somebody else identify? I can't read German

Someone was kind enough to send me to the Johnson Evinrude sight (in German). Does anybody else know <br />how to identify them or a website? It is a Johnson 50hp Mod #J50BELCNR Ser. #J5669013.<br />Thanks in advance.

Hi.<br />I think it is some Scandinavian language not German.<br />Look at the capitals.<br />Johnson 50(horse) Belgian(derated) Electric Longshaft CN=1982 and R is the suffix model type.<br />J50BELCNR<br />How do you figure out the year?<br />INTRODUCES, these are ten letters which are the key for 10 numbers.<br />I=1,N=2 and so on.Just forget about the 19 of 1982 and you'll see.<br />Good luck.

Hey, thanks alot Rolmops. I'll bet your right does look like Scandinavian. Do you know of any website where a guy could look up the years of Johnson's and Evinrude's? I have 4 or 5 others I would like to date.<br />Thanks again for your time.

I can't read German either or Swiss which is what this site is. However it covers most major brand outboards. Very easy to follow.<br />Modellnummer = Model Number<br />Hk = Horsepower<br />Årsmodell = Model Year<br />Kencook.com also has the listings but this Swiss site is set up in horse power categories and seems quicker to navigate.
