what year? trouble with prop

I have a Johnson 25 model BJ 25 SELE OA serial G 03769246. I need to know the year for a manual. can anyone help me? I'm having trouble with the engine racing. when you increase the speed

• the the boat slows down & the engine starts racing. has anyone any ideas what the problem could be or how I would go about fixing it?

i believe you have a 1995<br /><br />sounds as though your prop is slipping,

Thanx for that, 95 sounds abour right. Any sugestions what could I do about the prop or how it could have happened?

capt rob, me being no expert i would suggest you go to the top of this page and do a search on prop slipping, there should be a wealth of info there. good luck.

A slipping prop hub can be repaired by a prop shop for under $50.<br /><br />Good luck.
