jbuote might be right.
1979 115 hp.
They might have switched the cowl??

What parts?

On the side of the lower unit is a screw, don't touch.
It's pivot pin and if removed it will require the drive to be taken apart.

The oil drain might be an allen headed set screw?? or a regular slotted screw.

Yup... It's a 115hp.

115.jpg

The 5 is almost gone, but you can just make it out. That red rectangle is the stated HP on that placard.
That picture leads me to believe it is a 1157B9B.
Probably the same as 1157H9B I've found in parts searches.
Don't take my word on B9B and H9B being the same.. they might be, I'd think so, but I don't know for sure.

Jerry and other more experienced can help make sure you get the right parts,

That's about all I have to offer on it! :pound:

My best to you with it!! :D

As above re hp and year,

it obviously is the distributor model magnapower, not the horrid magnapower 11 ignition system

your one has the breakerless distributor with preampifer,
it has two wires coming out of the dizzy as opposed to one wire in the points system,

same system on the 70 hp is on the boat in the backyard,

if you end up with no spark the Streetfire ignition module replacement does work,
Rather than trying to find a " good " used one...and is probably cheaper as well

You'll also need the hyd. pump too.
Your system came with a 3 wire electric motor.
You can update to the newer 2 wire but you'll need the wiring harness with the relays and circuit breaker.
