33 views and no info,,,anyone know whats the diff in a black max and a reg 225,,, this one is black max offshore with carbs. also it has a plastic plug in the area beside the pee pipe,is this for flushing or use instead of muffs on lower?

They made a 3.0 225 carb engine from 1994-2001, the 1994-98 was first production run engine and they are ok, the later models are better. They had problems with the CDM (D shaped) modules and fuel supply. That is a flushing port only do not run engine as it doesn't supply enough water to cool impeller, just use muffs..
