Need help with bonding polycarb windows to fiberglass and aluminium strips.
Replacing all the windows was planing on using 3M VHB foam tape then Sika 295 with a sika 207 primer.
Is this a good choice ?
The alu is a trim on the out side the windows will be bonded rather than screwed in, then the trim bonded. So the sika will be a weather proofing and bonding agent.

way too much work

3M window weld urethane adhesive. if its good enough to bond in glass or plastic windows on a convertible top. its good enough to do what you are asking it.

if you want white, 3M UV4000 would work too

then again, the VHB would be all you need to hold the windows in since it does both adhere and seal.

Call the 3m support. They are very responsive and will recommend the proper primers for the adhesive to what you are applying and the poly itself. I used it on my front windows and they are strong as can be. Going to do the rest of the boat the same way.
