What's my '65 Jupiter 60hp Renault I/O worth?

I have a 1965 16' Starcraft Jupiter with a 60hp Renault motor and model "o" Mercruiser stern drive sitting on a classic Tee Nee roller bunk tilt trailer. The boat has the original back to back lounge seats, teleflex steering, tachometer, navigation lights, spotlight, and everything works as it should. The motor runs well and with a 13" pitch prop will push the boat about 28mph at 5200 rpm. (BTW, the motor shouldn't be ran at that rpm for long since the recommended WOT is 4500-4800.) The original 'natural' paint could be redone and the floor definitely needs to be replaced. The windshield needs to either be replaced or polished out. Trailer has new LED lights and tires.

What do you think this boat is worth?

I am considering either selling it or doing some major reconstruction to make it more fishing friendly.

Thanks for your time.

Mike

The cover is marine grade vinyl and is very heavy. It as made by an Amish gentleman who makes tarps and such.

It also matches the interior of the boat.

I like it. I think it should be packaged with a 1965 Mercury station wagon - this one for sale is perfect:

Since so many boats over 20 years old can be had in great condition for $4,000 or or even $2500, one must take into account the floor repair cost, complete service on the engine ti the total cost. I doubt anyone would be a taker unless they had an appreciation for the classic nature. But there are a lot of great classics on this site.

Capt. Mike-

For what it's worth...in the past 18 months I've bought and sold two Jupiters (65 & 67). The 65 was puchased 5 years ago for $1250 and sold recently for $2000 (probably could of got more if I held out until nice weather). The 67 was purchased last year for $1150.00. Both floors were solid and had nice outboards. I think the i/o could play for or against you. If someones looking for an I/O you have the better option, but I think on a 16 that would be an exception.

The jupiters can be seen on this link:
