1983 Chrysler 50hp, model #507H3D

Which manual is the best, knowing that one of us (that's me), isn't
very astute at this whole, maintanence/repair of the old outboard.
However, I plan to change all that. So, which manual do I order that
speaks english, yet is thorough enough to help get the job done.

If I had to rebuild the entire thing, that's the kinda manual I'm talking about.
Thanks, you guys have been great on this middle-aged Rookie!:)

Clymer Chrysler/Force Outboard Shop Manual 3.5 ? 140 HP 1966 ?1988 has been my best source (other than a specific Chrysler?s manual). I?m not sure if it's easily available or a used item to find (as mine). Good Luck! JOW

Re: What's the best manual for my 50hp?

We found some good ?Old Clymer Manuals? in the Public Library. My most disappointing source has been an inexpensive CD off Ebay. It has info compared to Clymer but not as easy to find as in Clymer. ?in my opinion?. I printed a quick ref form the CD related to my motor to compare with Clymer. Good graphics are key resources to me getting a good understanding in some cases. That is why I started my files of Pics (info and records). The Clymer mention had some good graphics and some color that added to it. JOW

I've currently found both Clymer and Seloc manuals available. Relatively the same cost, but I hadn't thought about checking out the library. If nothing else, that would be a good place to compare if they have them. Then, I'd know when one to order.

There is a download version of the Clymer online, but I think I'd rather have the hard copy. Although, it's only $17.00 (i think) to download vs. $30 (ish)
for the hard copy.
