What's the best thing you've found to seal welch plugs?

What's the best thing you've found to seal welch plugs on carburetors? What will stand up to gas? <br /><br />I've heard that clear finger nail polish works good, but I haven't tried it.

Permatex hi temp automotive silicone seal. Napa has it. Use red or orange. This ia what marine mechanics use to seal plugs on carbs

Sealer 1000 or yes even finger nail polish works well

I use Permatex. Finger nail polish sounds less messy.
