My boat's hull is pretty oxidized and dull looking. The boat sits on a trailer so I don't know the best way to attempt to clean and wax the hull. Will this be a take-it-to-the-shop job?

Also, what's the best stuff for cleaning the vinyl seating? There are so many products out there, all saying they are the best!

You will have to start by trial and error. What you use will depend on how oxidized the finish is and how much waxing and compounding has been done in the past.Start with a good cleaner /wax or cleaner polish.3m makes a good one and Dolfinite makes a good one too. do iot by hand first and see how a small section comes out.You may have to go to a polishing wheel or something more aggressive like polishing compound. At this point until you try something to get the shine back it is impossible to give you the RIGHT advice. For the vinyl,I have had the best results using Soft scrub with bleach. If the vinyl is not white or off white and has no mildew stains, you can get the softscrub w/o bleach .Charlie

I am going to second what crazy said, you will just have to expirement with different polishes and waxes. The only advice I will add would be to buy a creeper and be prepared to spend some time under there! :D
