What's the plug gap, and compression for Chrysler?

I have a 9.9 HP Chrysler model 92HA.
I'm going to replace the plugs, and check compression.
The ones I pulled out have a gap around .020.
Is this right? I guess I figured it'd be more like .030, or .035.

Also, with the engine cold, compression on both cylinders is 120 PSI.
I would think that should be pretty good since they're the same.

Well.... At WOT is runs fine. When it's idled down it sputters.

I'm checking compression, changing plugs (they're cheap enough), changing gear oil, impeller (if I can find it), and cleaning jets on carb.

I'm thinking that since the compression is good, it's prob the idle needle on carburetor making it run rough at idle.

Does anyone know how many turns out the A/F screw needs to be set?
When I took the carb off to clean it, it was at about 8 turns out. Is this right?

8 turns out no.
If it's sputtering and running poor at low speed?
The low speed jet is probably clogged.
Maybe the fuel pump diaphragm is leaking?
It's usually set at around 1-2 turns out from lightly seated.
Pull the screw out and see if the end of the screws taper is smooth.
Any grooves or scratches will mess with the setting.

Ok, I took the screw out, and it's smooth at the point.

I did also take the carb off, and cleaned the main jet, and the idle jet.
Unfortunately I won't know how it runs till a month or so. It's 28F here now....

When I do get it out there I'll respond with a update!
