What's under the floor of new Bayliners?

Trying to find information on what the construction is on late model Bayliner 242 and 245 Cruisers.

The Bayliner website lists "SRS™ Hull Design" and "Glassed in bulkheads". What is SRS hull design? And what material is being glassed in as the bulkhead?

Anyone shed some light on what is under the floor in these new boats?

Thanks Studly, but I'm interested in information specific to the new Bayliner construction techniques.

Bayliner does list that all the hulls are hand layed fiberglass. I'm most interested in the stringers and support ribs.

On the website listed above, there are several articles that follow through the construction of new boats. There is one of the articles that specifically goes through the bayliner construction as well as Sea Ray and a couple of others. The guy is a yacht surveyor, and some of the articles are real eye-openers.

Most of the stuff in those write ups are on 40ft plus boats

You have to read all is stuff and you will find he thinks all the boats the normal person can buy are junk

He also gives Grady-White a pretty good slam

Those articles have been around for a while. He is writing about larger boats made in the 80's and 90's. I am looking specifically for information on the late model Bayliners. That website does not have what I am looking for.

BTW, that author is misleading in his statements:

" In the mid to late 50's, there were companies such as Glastron and MFG (Molded Fiberglass Products) who were turning out chopper gun boats by the thousands, which tended to fall apart in equal numbers. "

This is far from what most people think of as a chopper gun boat, and there are thousands of them still around that attest to their toughness and high quality:

I think the shock value of that website has worn off.

The guy backs everything up with examples and photos so don't be so quick to dismiss his findings. He calls things like he see them no matter if its a $5K boat or a $500K boat. Bad design and bad construction at just that no matter how much you pay.

I run a Grady and pretty much have to agree with what he says abut them.

Regardless of what that author says, there is no information on that website or from that author on late model Bayliner construction. That is what this post is about.
