Re: Whats with the time limit?

Forgot to mention a quick workaround. Log in with a bogus (or no) password. This will take you to the invalid login page where you WILL find a Remember Me box and you'll be good to go.
I've been having this issue, too. I'd attributed it to an out of date (non-upgraded) browser. I've found the same issue with my computer at home, though, which does have an up to date browser (IE7). Sometimes the box is there, but it does not say remember me. Knowing what it is, the first time I tried to click on it, no check appeared. It was useless. The next two times (both today), still no "remember me" next to it, but I was able to click it, and it worked.

In so far as the "Bogus" log in, simply click the "log in" tab or press enter. There's no need to enter anything at all into the username or password box. It will bring you right to the "invalid log in" page as described by bassman284.

Anyone else still having issues with the "notifications" tab? That's still not working for me. For anyone else having this problem, simply click on "private messages" directly under the forum tab top left of the screen. Don S filled me in on this one... Thanks again, Don.

I don't know if this still applies but the remember me box will only appear when you are logging on and will not be there if you are logged on

Agree puddle. I check it by logging out and when I go to log in again, there is no remember me box. And like veritas says the Notifications drop down doesn't work. Looks to me like IE7 is having problems handling display commands from the upgrade.

I noticed a couple of other minor display oddities after the previous upgrade, but they didn't really affect my use. A couple of those resolved themselves over time, so maybe this will as well.

In addition, if I click on anything in the marine store, IE7 shuts down. I first noticed this a couple of weeks ago but forgot about it. Time for an upgrade, I guess.

The same thing happens to me, tried to buy a prop but can get to the prop page, it just shuts down instantly.

It still shuts down instantly when I try to do a search for a prop, had to buy one someplace else.

There are days, my wife wishes there was a time limit, heck I have not logged out of this website for over 6 months now!

The missing "Remember Me" button problem has now been fixed. It's in a little different location, but visible to all, even IE7,

It's right next to the Log In button that you can now read.

Re: Whats with the time limit?

There are computer settings that affect auto sign-off. Try as I have...I cannot determine what those settings are. I know this because I use i-boats from 2 computers; running Firefox on each. With the laptop...I can stay logged in forever....but on the desktop I get logged off in an annoyingly short period of time.

It's not i-boats fault...although perhaps it has to do with characteristics built into the forum software.

Anyway....users are not imagining things. The problem certainly exists and has existed for me for a long time. I wish I kinew what the answer is because it's rather annoying.
