Slightly larger than what most would define as a nick-nack,but I have a intricately carved camphor wood chest that my Dad brought back from New Guinea at the close of WW2.It was originally used to store opium.Still has that unmistakeable aroma of camphor wood when opened.

I have this glass from the Blue Jays home opener game - the first ever Jays game in 1977. I was 12. The glass has my exact ticket silkscreened onto it. It's weird. I'm not sure there were many made. I think because my dad was in the media they sent these glasses to us.
I also have an unopened Canada Dry ginger ale from Charles' and Dianas royal wedding. The pic here made me think of it.

Very cool thing to collect. I have a few myself that I've never broken the seal on. My every day lighter is the plain old brass one. I've got a really nice Ford one too, but I'm concerned it'll be less dependable. :p I just love the clunk sound when I open it and the smell of the fuel!

Hehe I might have to take you up on that one day.

Well you got me interested in looking at my lighters so I went digging through my "man box". I guess we all have one of some sorts. Mine's a simple little homemade box made of pine. It's full old keys, pocket knives, old billfolds, belt buckles, concert/game tickets and lots of memories (not all of them good). It's been years since I've looked in there. It made me remember a lot of stuff. When I was little, my grandad had a dresser drawer full of stuff. Sometimes he'd pull something out and tell me a story. Some of the things he'd take out he'd give to me. I still have them in my box. It looks like I'm well on my way to having a similar collection. I thought about how long I've had some of those things and how they remind me of different times in my life. I'd have to think an awful lot of someone to give them something from my box. I guess my grandad felt the same way. Whew getting a little misty eyed here. Anway, then I remembered my Zippos were in an old wooden cigar box. Every time I take them out I think I might start using one of them. Then I see that orange sticker sealing them shut and I just can't bring myself to break it.

You'd especially like my custom flash zippo...there's a USB plug sticking up where the chimney used to be, and it holds 2gb. :D I wish I had a picture but I left it in california...you should see the looks they give you when you put that through the x-ray machine at the airport!

This "sculpture" was found in the back yard after a thunderstorm in 1991... By my bare foot.
This is the collet off of the top section of a ham radio antenna. The rest of the fiberglass antenna was vaporised into plastic snow flakes by the strike. This niknack now sits on the top of my puter desk in a place of honor.
It is a reminder of God's awesome power, and how fast just one lightning bolt can destroy $15,000 worth of ham radio equipment in a single zap.
