I was playing baseball with my son and his buddies(everyday he's here) and I just cant get over how well my old Rawlings glove still works - I bought it used 10 yrs ago for $28 and it lasts. and lasts, feels great and maybe an occasional tightening of the laces. I'd guess a new one like it would be $150 or better?
And once in awhile, my son throws one, that I catch right by the pinky, yowch!! LOL :)

I still have my dad's hockey stick from back in the early thirties. I used it myself up till I was about 12 or 13. I have probably bought 40 or so sticks since that as I was still playing club hockey in a league up to 10 years ago. It was a straight stick of course and I still get it out to show the kids that play pond hockey around here. They are amazed that there is no curve to the blade. I don't give away my age my telling them I was using a straight stick up into my twenties. Didn't play with a helmet till about 15 or so years after that. Gave up team playing ten years ago when I blew a disk in my back but still do a little refereeing for the local kids.

Super Tacks???

I knew that would get ya' Heinz. Super Tacks are to the average Canadian guy as to what a Louisville Slugger is to the average American guy.
As Mike mentioned it is a particular pair of hockey skates....common to the Canadian male.:D:D

Favorite is my 1978 Raleigh racing bicycle that I ride every day, weather permitting. Great exercise and get to see what's going on in the neighborhood. In the summer, I bike about 3 miles to the local boat launch to watch the entertainment.

Pretty soon I'll be demoted to being a walker, I have to layer-up pretty good for the bike rides now. Much prefer biking to walking, about 10-1.

Agree on the boat....fishing gear 2nd. My guns are for protection.....around here tourist season is in but I can't count that as a sport.:)

After the boat, of course,

I'd have to say my Springfield .45 acp Trophy Match Long Slide. This is one tack driving piece of sporting equimpment. Too bulky to carry, but a whole lot of fun to shoot. Glad I picked it up while the availability was somewhat reasonable. Now it's a custom shop item, I think.

First thing I thought of reading the title was my Rawlings Gold Glove series.

I joined an "old man's" softball league just for fun but my old glove was dried and cracked so decided to replace it. The new one was stiff as a board and VERY hard to break in but once it was, best glove I ever used. Just get it there and it'll make the catch. Now my daughter took it for softball so I guess it's not really mine anymore....

I told her to guard it carefully. I saw one "new with tags" sell on ebay a couple years ago and decided it must be a collector's item or something. I think I gave 120 for mine but the one on ebay went for 362 dollars!

Wow!

I don't care what it's worth in used condition. It's a family heirloom now.

My Colt 6" King Cobra....I have a good number of guns, including a pile of Colts, but this is my favorite. I've put 20k or so rounds thru it and it is still tight as a drum.
