whatz dis carb part??

it was on top of the carb and half of it was threeded? the other half taper down to a POINT? it is from the carb for a 1997 6hp evinrude! all my other motors, don't have this. is this the low speed oil setting what is it??? some one told me it is a low speed oil setting but takin the fact I don't have oil injection, I don't think thats it

what does it do and how do I adjust it?? I always used the butterfly valve stopper to conrtol low speed? all my old OB don't have that... Please tell me what to do with it?

If it is the low speed needle it controls the low speed mixture. <br /><br />There is instructions around here on how to set them. <br /><br />The further it is "in" the leaner the mixture, <br /><br />Mike

mix referring to Air/Gas mixture, not Oil/Gas mixture.
