I just traded a camper that my buddy had left in my yard because it was too big for his truck (he didn't want it anymore) plus $100.00 for this..........

my buddy tried to give me the camper, but it's too big for my truck too (1500 gmc with 6.5' box). I told him I really don't want it in my yard anymore, so he was gonna take it too the dump, which was a shame, cause it really wasn't in bad shape.

I get a nice kicker for my runabout, (the main is a 90hp evinrude) that can also be used on my 12' aluminum when the wind is too strong for the electric motor. I save myself and my buddy some work taking this thing to the dump........saved him some money for dumping fee's, and all it cost me is 100 bucks. I'm pretty happy about that.

wow, that motor does look in incredibly good shape. I bet you'll get much more than your hundred bucks worth.

Re: wheeling and dealing

it was a match made in heaven. the guy only lives 30 mins from me, he has an older ford f250 with an 8 foot box for work around the farm, and he was thinking about getting a camper for it for hunting etc. he said he kept the motor inside during the winter, and he tells me the pictures don't do this motor justice. he swears it has been really taken care of.

I've been thinking about getting another outboard, since my 6 hp does not have the greatest compression, and doesn't like to idle for me very well.
