I Have a 1957 18 h.p. Johnson seahorse. I have also a 1970(?) Evinrude 18 H.P. FastTwin. The evinrude ran when stored and was seized when checked on.I started The Johnson and it would not continue to run, I believe that The impeller quit when I was distracted and the Motor Froze ie: would no longer pull. I am Most interested in the Repair of the Fastwin, could i get some help with the un freezing of the motor after storage? i plan to take it to a shop is there a caution I should have before an estimate of repair?

You can try squirting some Marvel Mystery oil in the cylinders.

Allow to set for awhile , and see if you can get it to break loose.

Not with pull rope, but by turning flywheel.

Use diesel fuel in the cylinders = Cheaper and seems to get better results

Ive never used diesel fuel, but have had excellent results with the mystery oil.

I maybe wrong , but I can't see where diesel fuel, would work as well, being its so thin.
