Have you tried leaving the lanyard on the switch and just press the switch in ........usually works

Da##, Sure as Shinola.
I never noticed that.
But in my defense, I've only got 20 hours on the motor.
All my other motors have an ignition key.

So now I will have to remember to attach the lanyard to my life jacket every time I fire up the engine. Or..... find an 18' long lanyard and
leave it attached.
