when i epoxy transome together how to get bolts

how do i when using the bolts to the stearndrive to hold the new transom plywood against the transome fiberglass hull ,,,,how do i get these bolts to not get epoxy on them and accedently get epoxied to the hull or plywood...

Hi Bigbad<br /><br />Are you replacing the transom with the gimbal housing and all still in place? I thought it all had to be removed, cut into the transom and re-align the drive?

no it is all gone engine and everything evan the top of the boat[cap] is off i want complete accsess ,,,,i just drilled out all the rivets yesterday .....i am going to be using some other bolts of course .....i guess i should have been absolutly preciscly clear as to im using the holes for were the sterndrive was mounted ...i asume every one is smart when i type ....

wax or grease will that not cause a bonding issue in the area around those bolts
