An elderly gentleman of 83 arrived in Paris by plane.

At the French customs desk, the man took a few minutes to locate his passport in his carry-on bag.

"You have been to France before, monsieur?" the customs officer asked, sarcastically.

The elderly gentleman admitted he had been to France previously.

"Then you should know enough to have your passport ready."

The American said, "The last time I was here, I didn't have to show it."

"Impossible. Americans always have to show your passports on arrival in France!"

The American senior gave the Frenchman a long hard look.

Then he quietly explained. "Well, when I came ashore at Omaha Beach on D-Day in 1944 to help liberate this country, I couldn't find a damn Frenchman anywhere around to show it to."

Re: When the old man arrived in Paris

Me Bro really likes da French Tom, ('course he could be trickin' his slow Bro n' all, as he knows I can't really read minds n' all). He drinks their wine n' dreams about visitin' there n' all, (n' says he's been there once). 'course I'd like ta drink the stuff if I could afford it n' all. I has ta drink the ol' 2 buck Chuck stuff at ol' Trader Joes, (which isn't too bad actually)! N' some day when I grow up I wanna be jus' like ol' Jacques Chirac n' all, ('course a don't really plan ta grow up any time soon, so I'm jus' kiddin' n' all). N' I'd like to visit the place too. (I'd leave me guns at home n' all), n' me old Mercs would stay home too! Ol' Murky does not ever want ta go to a French jail, as there could be some Saracens that heard 'bout ol' Murky in there, n' I might have ta get serious with 'em n' all! 8)8)8) JR
