Miles have nothing do do with anything. Obviously if the seals are bad grease will come out standing still. Check the disc with the grease zerk in it. If its bottomed in the outer housing it needs grease. Add grease until that disc just begins to move outward. Then quit. You don't need to fully compress the spring since that only increases pressure on the seals. If you trailer long distances and trailer frequently, check them before each trip and take a peek at the back of each wheel. If grease is present on the wheel the seals are gone.
