Where are petcock drains on Alpha One 120 HP?

I recently winterized my alpha one 120 HP motor, and I opened two petcocks on the Port side to drain all the anti-freeze out. I been reading that there might be a petcock on the other side that I missed? If I did miss a petcock on the other side of my block, did I still drain most of the water out?

Alpha One B869837 - MCM 2.5 Litre

Thanks for the help.

I think you are missing the point about draining a marine engine.
You don't drain the antifreeze side of a closed cooling system (unless it's mostly water) you are supposed to be draining the sea water (or raw water) side of the cooling system. The reason for draining them is so the water doesn't freeze and break the manifolds, block, coolers, or whatever they are in.
SInce you have antifreeze, You must have a closed cooling system. At that point you drain the raw water side only. The Antifreeze side is protected as long as the AF is at a low enough temp

The reason there was anti-freeze is because I used one of those "Winterizing Kits" from West Marine to run it through my engine. Otherwise there would be raw water inside. I do not normally have antifreeze when operating normally.

Sounds like I should be ok then? There is anti-freeze inside to prevent freezing, and I also drained most of the water (even if I missed a petcock on the other side). I read that some people do not even drain the anti-freeze after running it through, but I wanted to be extra careful.

Does anyone have a similar motor that can tell me exactly how many petcocks should have been removed? This will help me for next time. I was almost positive that there were only two petcocks port side.

Ayuh,.......

There's the Block Drain on the lower Port-side of the Block,.....
The Manifold Drain,.... Just Above the block drain,....
And,.....
Pulling the Big Hose off the T-stat Housing will drain another Qt. or so from the Circulating Pump,.....

And,.... If you have P/Steering,.. There's the P/S Cooler which is mounted inline with the Water Hose coming in from the Outdrive,.......
Just pull Either of the Big Hoses from it to Drain.......

Which Hose,..??...

If you're talking about the Big Hose on the T-stat Housing,.....
You're risking a Cracked Circulating Pump.....
The Big Hose does allow for Some Expansion,.... But it's Still hard on the Pump....

Yes the big hose, is the water trapped above the thermostat or is it creating a vacuum with it being closed?

No water Trapped Above the T-stat housing,.....

The Big Hose IS the Bottom of the Hill,........

And,... As We All Know,........ Water Flows Downhill.......

Great, so it looks like I properly drained all the fluids correctly. Thanks for your help, this helps me sleep at night!
