Hey guys,
I'm still messing with my stupid trim/tilt system! I did some messing with it this weekend and I found that using my one good trim cylinder, I can extend the piston out, but I can't bring it back in. This same thing occurs on both sides. The trim pump does run when you put press the IN button, but nothing happens with the trim cylinder. (The outdrive is removed)
The trim cylinder, when detached from the oil lines, is able to move in both directions, albiet it squirts oil quite a distance when this is done!
So would this be a sign of a bad check valve? If so, are they in the pump itself?
I suppose my real question should be, what do I check now?
Again, thanks for the advice! (And patience!)
