Where are the shutoff valves?

Just bought a 2005 Larson 270 Cabio 5.7, and while I have almost every manual, there are things the manuals didn't cover. Mostly, where are the water shutoff valves? The person I bought from never tried to use those things, so he was no help.

The boat has a head with shower, and three faucets (head, galley, cockpit). When I turn on the water pump I hear it running, but nothing out of the faucets. I've put water in the tank, so I know it's not dry. There don't seem to be access panels anywhere

Any suggestions?

Not going to find much of anything on the water system of a boat. Most don't have any valves from factory, any that are found have been installed by the prior owner.

Are you sure the pump works? Could be the pump needs replaced. The intake line going to the pump normally has some kind of a strainer, check to see if it's clogged. If the system froze due to lack of winterization you will need to replace some of it

Check the cabin bilge to see if water is leaking there.

I've owned 2 boats with water systems . . . no shut off valves. the only thing you might find with valves are the lines to/from the engine to the water heater (if it has one). If your pressure pump runs continuously, it may be broken or leaking, as AD stated.

Most boat water systems operate off a 45 psi pressure pump (Shurflo brand)

Well, the thing is that these valves are all referenced by the manuals. Intake valve for the toilet, for the air conditioner, for the the water tank to the pump. . .

You may have thru hull fittings for the AC and head but certainly not for the water heater.

Look under your sink in the head, or any nearby floor panels for a ball valve. Sometimes you have to look deep into your boat to find them. Ac unit usually has a valve near the circulation pump, normally in the engine room but I’ve seen some in silly places. All sink drains discharge overboard. As others have said look at your water tank for a screen type filter and make sure it’s not plugged up. From there the pump should be next in line and you can disconnect the output side and turn on the pump for a second and see if there is flow. Pictures of your setup help around here!

The head may have a macerator pump , which will have a through hull valve , only open when discharging holding tank into the Ocean . AC will have the same set up , basically leave that on , all the time . It's there in case inlet hose lets go , shut it off . Odds are fresh water pump is bone dry and can't create a suction . Take the clear plastic top off it that holds the wire screen and put some water in it . No its not something that has to be done all the time . In your case , the PO never used it , for how many years ? Fresh water has a holding tank IN the boat , so no valves are needed .
