why are you looking for a shift interrupt switch? what's it doing that you need the switch could be just a shift cable issue

it wont come out of gear. I just got the boat and then realized the switch was disconnected and when I read about it I hooked it up and now it always wants to stall

sounds like your switch is working. test it with an ohmmeter.

one of those switches was NLA, not sure if it came back online or not

need to adjust and probably replace the lower shift cable.

It sounds like the lower shift cable needs replacing. Someone disconnected the switch because it started stalling when shifting into or out of gear. Instead of fixing the problem, they "solved" it by disconnecting the switch.

If the engine dies when you hook the switch back up and you are trying to shift - then you need a new cable, not a new switch.

the switch never moves even when going in and out of gear and when the switch is wide open the engine trys to stall at idle and eventually will, but when I push it all the way down it dies instantly. if it is disconnected completely the engine will idle perfectly. goes into gear fine in water just wont come out...works fine on land when no load on prop
