Re: where can i buy new oil lines for external oil filter
You do not want to use old cracking rubbers, that will cause problems. I would just take the old hose to a hydraulic supply store and get one made up. An automotive supplier may also have what you need. You can probably use brass push lock fittings and the suitable hose. Max oil pressure is only about 60 psi, for which you do not need a steel braded hose. Just make sure the hose and fittings are rated for about 150 psi, that gives you a large safety factor and should not create any problems. I believe those brass ones are rated that high as is push lock hose. I would still use clamps, just to be sure. Maybe check your old hose to see if it was USCG approved. If it was, the new hose needs to have the same rating. You probably won't be able to buy that at a hydraulic or automotive supplier. You probably need to go to a marine supplier. Was this the cause of your high oil comsumption?
Have a great day,
